NJ councilman offends Latino community

(Freehold-WABC, March 1, 2007) - A Freehold Borough city councilman is not sitting pretty with some in the Latino community, for some comments on a website.

According to Asbury Park press, Councilman Mark Levine wrote on a site there is "a very promiscuous flavor" in parts of the Hispanic community.

Apparently Levine also referred to the Latinos as "these people" and said that they expect the state to subsidize their mistakes when they can't support their large families.

The councilman reportedly said he'd apologize for the remarks if anyone deemed it necessary but that he would not resign, and added that he represents everyone in Freehold.

What is necessary is for this racist to get an all expense paid trip to the next KKK Rally; i'm sure they could use a new waterboy! He should feel real comfortable around people who think like him...
